Bioson Brag

thinkthrice's picture

My bioson (youngest)started his academic career later than usual as I, a single parent and his alcoholic (deceased 11 years) father could not afford to put him through school. I myself never finished college and have always worked to support my family--sometimes 2 to 3 jobs since 1977.

He's 26 now, been independent pretty much since 17, never asked me for money, is working his way through college (science/math/engineering) with an ultimate goal of being a high school mathematics teacher, is in the Air force Reserves and has recently won a 22K scholarship!

I attended his high achievement award last night at Buffalo State--3.97 average.

I'm a proud mamma! Smile

Oh and one of the professors came up to me and said "you've raised such a polite, fine young man!"

Something you'll NEVER hear about YSS or OSS; just the generic "good kids" omnibus (TM)
