O/T Baby car seats...
BD is outgrowing her infant seat, and it's time to look at convertible rear-to-forward facing car seats. Finding anything informative on recommended car seats has been a nightmare. I know they all meet basic safety standards and all that, but do any of you have a car seat or brand you'd recommend? I've known too many people in car accidents lately, so its really been a big deal to me to get a good one.

"You just don't like my kids"
No, DH, I'm very fond of your kids (usually), just not when you're around. If I didn't like them, I wouldn't watch them for you Saturdays while you go to work. If I didn't like them, I wouldn't plan fun things for them to do, buy them Christmas/birthday gifts, bring home/come up with activities for them, read them bedtime stories, make sure they eat balanced meals, do their laundry, rescue their toys from the dog, or any of the plethora of other things that I do for them and you.

Yep, THATS the way to teach her not to whine...
DH just left for the store. He went to the gas station, for a soda and some snacks for the kids. SD5 started out asking for things as soon as he said he was going. She then decided she wanted to go with. DH said no, he'd only be gone for 5 minutes. No exaggeration, the gas station is literally a 30 second drive away. She starts whining, increases to tantrum. Does he just leave?

Oh little drama queen...
DH's parents are driving from PA for Christmas. We live in the Midwest so it's about an 18 hour drive. We would like the house clean for them when they get here. Skids' cousins (maternal) were over yesterday while their mom was at work. SD5 was told that SHE was responsible for whatever messes were made in her room.
