Waiting till 12 weeks
I know it's as much his news as mine, but I was a bit shocked that DH wanted to tell SD about our pregnancy within the next couple of weeks. Call me gun shy, but I've had a miscarriage before. I don't want people knowing until we are through the danger period. He understood after I explained it to him, but damn.
Also, he keeps saying "till we know for sure". I know I tested early, I know the line is really faint but it's still a line-he sees the line, says it's there, but he thinks it's not a positive until it's a bright line. I even retook today, the line is a little brighter but still faint. I know some guys have a hard time getting it, because it's not happening to their body. He says he's happy but wants to "to know for sure" before he gets excited.

Thank you, yes I give him a break for wanting to spill the beans, it's sweet. I just don't want to deal with the drama until we get through the early part.

We told my SD10 when I was 8wks along...I had wanted to wait until 12wks, but DH was so excited he had a hard time containing himself. My OB had told me that even though the majority of miscarriages happen in the first trimester, 80% of those occur before 8wks, so I felt ok telling SD that early. I'm now 26.5 weeks with a little girl and am so excited to meet her
Congrats to you and good luck with your pregnancy - I hope you don't feel too sick!
Aw, congrats. Getting close
Aw, congrats. Getting close for you now
I'm going to enjoy animal protein as much as possible the next two weeks, the pregnancy I lost I couldn't even look at at meat or any kind without throwing up after six weeks. My miscarriage happened at nine and a half weeks, my OB told me the same thing yours did, so I waited until nine weeks to spill the beans, only to have to explain days later that I lost the baby. It made a difficult situation worse. I don't know, maybe we can compromise on ten weeks.

We told SD at 11 weeks. We saw the baby & ultrasound at 8 weeks & told all family & close friends. We waited until 11 weeks to tell SD because she was here for her spring break.
