I was looking for a status update for my FB that expresses exactly what I want to say today. I thought the following would suit so many of our situations perfectly & wanted to share:

Those who seek out the role of Victim disgrace those who have had the role thrust upon them. For unlike the seeker, true victims emerge from life as Heroes.

The victim role you have portrayed for so long has been perfected and now deserves an OSCAR Award... The time has come to audition for a new part.
