Twenty-two more days!

I'm just wishing December 1st would get here already!!

The Child Support Arrears have been paid.

The Spousal Maintenance Arrears have been paid.

The Month of November has been paid for both CS & SM.

December 1st, 2009 will be the day DH will ONLY have to pay Child Support for his son. He'll have 11 years of it. Until SS turns 18.

I just wanna reach through the phone and strangle BM right now. DH told BM on Sunday when he dropped off SS that Tuesdays would be the only day he could talk to his son coz Wed & Thur he would be in class (online college courses)...So he called tonight and she started in on DH about the arrears. He told her he was waiting on his consultant money. Then she asked, "And then you'll be sending it in to child enforcement?" I wanted to say, "NO, we're going on a vacation to get away from your stupid ways!" DUH.

Halloween Weekend

I am SO SO SO glad that we had Ched this Halloween! We enjoyed it SO MUCH with him and I know DH and SS6 will remember the good time they had that night.

Halloween went SO well for us! We got to BM's house @ 3pm. She called my DH telling him she was @ Costco and would be late. She showed up around 5 minutes late. SS6 got out of her car wearing a Halloween costume.

Hubby asked her what time to drop off their son, she said to keep him overnight (gee, that was no surprise to us since she loves to get rid of him as much as she can!)...and to call around noon on Sunday.

TWENTY-EIGHT!

There are twenty-eight days left until BM's spousal maintenance ends. 11/30/09 is THE LAST DAY. DH has been paying her for almost 2 years now.

I am counting down the days...I have a Countdown set on my home page to remind me of that joyous day!

I think I'm looking forward to that more than any other day this year!

I can NOT come soon enough, I tell you!!

Halloween with US this year!

When DH went to pick up Ched on Friday he told BM that he would be picking up Ched on Halloween day at 3pm and returning him at 9pm. She said, "Oh, well, I wanted to take him trick-or-treating this year."

He said, "It is MY year and *I* am going to take him."

Later he asked Ched if he wanted to go TorT with him or w/ BM. He said, "With BM." DH asked Ched why. He said, "Coz you don't LIKE going trick-or-treating."

DH & I got a letter from his "Pen Pal"

His Pen Pal so to speak, is DCSE, Division of Child Support Enforcement.

WHY? Because he's in arrears. Why is he in arrears? Because he was JOBLESS for a couple weeks. Being jobless means, guess what? NO PAY...no pay means...child support is going to be delayed until a new job is secured. Then, when a new job is secured, the pay is NOT automatically going to appear in a checking account. Which means, it takes at least 2-4 weeks before said payday gets credited, because you gotta WORK before you get PAID.

Objections from SS6

It seems that every time my SS6, Ched comes here for his weekend, & when Sunday rolls around, he expresses he doesn't want to go back to Mommy's house. He doesn't throw a fit, but he does get sad, tears start and he just looks so forlorn. It's almost heart breaking to witness this.

What we say to him is that if we had our choice, he would stay with us all the time, because we love it when he comes to see us (which is true!)

The Judge says we have to take him back to Mommy's house, or daddy will get in BIG trouble with mommy.

To buy, or Not to Buy.....

THAT is the question!

On Friday afternoon, it was "to buy."

On Friday evening it became, "NOT to buy."

All because $MM$ and her vindictiveness. EJ and I wanted to buy a house closer to his work and where his son is living. We contacted a local realtor. We were pre-approved for a home loan and we started looking in various zip codes for a house that would be perfect.
