Taxes! Can't believe BM is such a dingy person.
so...This year is DH's year to claim SS2 on his taxes. BM claimed SS2 last year...But after DH attempted to file his taxes, guess what! BM had already claimed SS2...Imagine that...
So although they have an agreement, I don't know that this was necessarily spelled out in court...So what now? Just let her continue getting everything she wants? Or can she be held in contempt for this?
argh, I am so annoyed.

If it's not spelled out in
If it's not spelled out in the court order there is nothing you can do about it. She's probably not dingy she's stingy
Agreed. If it IS written down
Agreed. If it IS written down somewhere, you could use it to amend the current order to have that stipulation.
Also, if BM is the CP, she actually has to fill out a form that gives BD permission to file. Annoying, I know.
If its in the DD you don't
If its in the DD you don't need her to do squat. Our BM claimed SS one year before we could we had our accountant fax a copy of DD to IRS. We claimed him and she was audited and had to pay the money she got back plus penalties.
I'm sorry, that sounds
I'm sorry, that sounds wonderful...but, what does DD stand for?

we're in court on March 3rd
we're in court on March 3rd for the same issue. BM is in blatant contempt in our case. She refuses to amend her taxes. Shes screwed, IMHO
This must be some sort of a
This must be some sort of a control tactic by many BM's. My SO's ex did this as well. Too bad, she got caught! LMAO. Had to pay back ALL the money AND was hit with massive penalties and interest. The best part of all? She could no longer use the child care credit. Blew up in her greedy beastly face. }:)
