So, Bm called today and apparently she has waited until the last minute to make summer plans for the skids, but amazingly she has gotten a job and needs summer care plans for the skids. SS5 is going to be in daycare, that BM is paying for because it is her fault that he got kicked out of his regular daycare, but SS11 still needs a plan for summer because he is too old for the summer programs that he used to do. I am going to do some research and see if there are any good programs in our area, but the most likely result is that I will have SS11 with me most days, all days. I'm okay with that and think it will be good for him to have more time with me and my influence rather than BM and now that he is almost twelve he is old enough that I can leave him at home briefly if I need to run to the store or anything like that. I am insisting that he go to summer camp and that will help quite a bit, but it will be an interesting situation.

BM lied to us twice about having jobs and it seems she actually found a real one, but of course it is completely impractical and the amount of money she will make will just about cover her gas money costs to get there and back (it's in a completely different town, an hour and a half away, one way). I have no idea how she is planning to actually support her kids, but it's funny that because of her bad planning, her older kid will actually end up spending most of his summer with me. The more time he has with me the better because I will actually be able to have a good influence on him and he won't be around his mother very much. We told BM that because she got SS5 kicked out of daycare because she wouldn't pay, it is up to her to pay for his entire daycare fees and amazingly she agreed. She is so embarrassed and ashamed by her failure to take care of her kids that she agreed to pay for all of the daycare fees herself. I will be entertained to see how long her minimum wage jobs lasts and if she is actually able to make any money at all from it. Anyhoo, short update, but typical of BM. It will be very interesting to see what goes down!!
