of my grandfather. You may think what her grandfather? What has be got to do with Mother's Day? Well my grandfather was hands down the best man I have ever known and he always use to say to me "Doll(that what he called me) there should not be one day called Mother's Day because really everyday should be Mother's Day!" That statement brings tears to my eyes when I think of him saying that.

Now before anybody gets upset I know there are BM's out there that do not deserve the one day recognition and we through our stepkids are forced to recognize them by listening to the skids about their mom this and their mom that but there are moms that his does apply to. As a step-mom I have realized that there are certain things that a mom does in a her home for her bio or skids and H that only she does and no one else ever thinks about these things. We all know what some of those things are and I think that is what my grandfather meant when he said everyday should be Mother's Day because a true mother should be celebrated daily for all that she does daily for her family that no one takes the time to think about.

So this Mother's Day let's not focus on the dread of it because of BM and her getting the glory. Let's all remember the mom's in our life that deserve to be celebrated every day and not just one day a year. Unfortunatley my mom and I have always had crappy relationship. I love her and she loves me but it will never be more than that. So I will be celebrating my Mother's Day with my older sister, my mother-in-law, my grandmother-in-law, and my Step Mom.

Happy Mother's day to all the bio and step mom's of the world for our job as a mother step or not is one of the greatest and most rewarding challenges that will ever be given to us.
