I'm on strike and duh dh, don't have my sick daughter watch the baby
My kids came home sick in Monday from their father's They spent the day upstairs and I kept myself and baby downstairs. Dh is a stay at home dad for dd1 and I mostly work from home (which means I cook, clean, handle finances and kids schedules).
Anyway dd13 stayed home in Tuesday as well. I had a lot to do and every time id come out of my room, dd13 would be downstairs. Dh would also ask her to take the baby as he was trying to complete a project. I kept asking dd13 to out the baby down, and would ask DH not to have my sick daughter watch/ hold/ feed the baby. His response?
Well the baby's going to get sick anyway.
Guess what lucky stay at home dad I got to hear complain about hiw grouchy the baby was today. Guess what baby has a runny nose and keeps waking up tonight. Guess who's husband is now out buying medicine for a very warm baby that is both cutting teeth and has a very runny nose?
And guess which stay at home dad just may learn to listen as this is only day one of a three day journey.
Guess which mom will be extremely busy on calls the next two days?
Oh, and did I also mention that I told him I was goig to be on strike until further notice as far as the kitchen goes. I won't be making him breakfast lunch and dinner any longer because for some reason, he's also decided to stop helping with dishes. Oh, he loves a home made soup and a special dinner every night but I have to do dishes the next morning?!!!
Nope, on strike till further notice (or Friday night when my kids come home).
