DH told BM that he was more than happy to allow her extra visitation with SS13, but she would need to both pick him up and deliver him home.

She was shocked that DH wouldn't meet her half way during one of her two specified times that she would be available to meet. Her response, "I can't believe you won't meet me half way. It's only fair. Thought you would put your son first, for once"

Makes me laugh, coming from a person that abandoned her son when he was 5 and decided to show a renewed interest 7 years later when she found out there was a new woman in the picture. She pays no child support, supposedly works only 5 hours a week, and has every other weekend visits with her son. They just finalized the court orders and even though she knew SS wanted additional time with her, she asked for none. The only thing she asked for was to have DH meet her half way when there was no school, which DG agreed to on the basis that the pick up time would be much later since he works and there is traffic. (45 mile distance between homes)

DH then made another offer that she was welcome to pick SS13 up after school on Thursday of next week since there was no school on Friday. She replies, "sorry, I work Thursday and Friday. I'll see you Friday night at 7".

No surprise here.

Gas money strikes again for poor, poor BM.

Luckily when we explained the situation to SS13, he was clear. I encouraged him to speak with his mom about reconsidering for next Thursday and he got very excited saying that an extra day would be just perfect.

We'll see what happens, but something tells me not to hold my breath.
