Ssstb14 has no school on Friday. Bm is scheduled to pick him up after school on Friday because it's her weekend. She usually comes to our town on her Fridays to get him directly from school except during summer or vacation, we meet halfway at a much later time during the evening (because its "so unsafe" to meet at the school when school's not in session).

Ss asked if he could ask her to get him on thurs after school instead of waiting till friday night to see her.

What a surprise. She has "an appointment. She claims she only works 5 hours weekly but she just happens to be busy at the time school lets out.

We told ss that we'd just keep to the schedule and meet bm at the half way point on fri night (as we do when school is not in session).

Bm had ss ask if we could meet her at the half way point. Dh said no but bm was welcome to come to a pick up SS in our town any time on thurs or fri if she wanted extra time. Again, she had ss ask if we could meet at the half way point.
Nope.

Ss said he knew this would happen.

Dh explained that bm is always welcome to come for extra time if she'd like.

What's funny is I often compare myself to bm. Why I don't know because we are no where on the same realm. I cancel appointments, move my schedule, give up things, take days off and on and on to make sure I'm there for my kids, get them to places they need and on and on.
