we are moving!
I am so excited! BF bought a house and we are moving in about 4 weeks. The house needs a bit of work but between BF and I and a little help from the kids it will get done. We are only moving 10 miles away but to a very small town (under 800 people). This sweet little town has its own school K-12, so all my kids will be in the same building. The bonus for me is that I will no longer have to drive kids to school. I have been doing it for almost 12 years and the last few years have been a pain with 3 kids in 3 different schools in 2 neighboring cities. The kids will walk to school and back, a whole 2 1/2 blocks. I will only have daycare costs on some non-school days and some of the summer for my youngest. I work from home part of the day so she can stay with me or even go to work with me. Our house has a huge backyard and a big front yard too. Each of my bio-kids will get their own room, FSS will share with BD7 when overnights start when he is 1. My girls have always shared a room and BD12 needs her own room because BD7 cramps her style. Being a pre-teen is so hard! LOL
I still have lots of painting to do, a floor to rip out in the kitchen, carpet to clean, BF has floors to put in, and lots and lots of cleaning. The house has been empty for over a year. It was foreclosed on so we got it super cheap.

Sounds wonderful!
Do a little 'welcome home' ceremony when you move in to get rid of any negative energy. It sounds weird, but I think houses have personalities, and your new home will probably be just as happy to see you, as you are to be moving in
That's Great
I love small towns and how rewarding it is to work on your home and improve it. How do the kids feel about it?

My girls are excited and my son is coming around. He painted his room last weekend and I think that helped. His room is so much bigger than the one he has now so a lot of his stuff has been in storage and that can come out in the new house.
Exciting!
It sounds wonderful - congratulations!
