Sick of Comparisons to what SKids have

My SS17 is starting to look into colleges.  He is well aware that neither his Dad and I nor his BM can afford to pay for him to go to big, expensive colleges, but is of course looking none-the-less.  He knows he will need to get student loans if he goes that route and so far hasn't put up the big "you have to pay for me" yet... 

Christmas gifts for SD19 that we never see?

SD19 has been to our house 2x in nearly 2 years.  She lives with her mom about 40 minutes away (only about 10 minutes away until 3 months ago) and honestly has nothing to do with us.  She hasn't even met our youngest son / her youngest brother who is 6 mos.  She hardly talks to SO and we have no idea what is going on in her life until she gets in a blowout with her mom (which happens every few months) and she calls to complain to SO and ask if she has a place to live if she needs it.

My 2YO is star of the week at his daycare this week.  As my husband and I were putting together his poster my SD15 came into the kitchen.  It didn' have any words on it yet, but I had the pictures laid out on it.  Two of the pictures are of my 2 bio-sons together (other is 5mos).  A few others are either my husband or I with our 2YO. 

Wow - they didn't have anyone over!

DH & I installed outdoor cameras about 2 weeks ago since we were going out of town this past weekend.  To our surprise, SD15 ended up being picked up by her mom on Saturday afternoon (HUGE surprise is more like it) and SS16 actually stayed at a friend's house on Saturday night.  They actually didn't have anyone over at the house!

We installed security cameras at our house becaue DH and I are going out of town this coming weekeng and SD15 and SS16 will be home.  They are SUPPOSED to be staying at friends' house (as they were told weeks ago), but let's be real, they aren't going to friends' houses.  It is BM's weekend, but she is too lazy to drive the 45 minute to pickup SD15 and SS16 works close to our home.  And where we live is "prime location" to have a party - we seriously have no neighbors within a mile. 

Husband compared himself to me

I finally came clean with my husband and explained how incredibly hard it is to feel like I have to be a good Mom to his kids (who have lived with use for 4+ years - now SS16 & SD16) AND try to be a good Mom to our two young sons (2 yrs & 4 mos) - this has been really bothering me and getting harder recently.
