Please help me keep on the Disengaged Bus....

DH's dad died Saturday. SD19 moved to momma's couch this summer to avoid responsibility and now has an illustrious career in fast food - literally. This is the same woman who abandoned her at 10 and moved 800 miles away but I digress. SD19 says she is not coming to the funeral services because "we are mad at her" because be disagree with her choices.

Ladies, keep me from engaging. I do not want to make things worse for my husband.

Try to focus on comforting your DH. He really really needs you at this time. SD is using this opportunity to manipulate you both. Don't take the bait. I hope she doesn't go for your sake, but if she does, just be civil. That's all that is required of you. You don't need to engage.
