Well last night my SS17 came into the livingroom to give me a big hug. I could tell he was upset but not ready to talk. I made us tea & then he told us that his GF14 has broken up with him. Earlier in the day he went over to his friends place to talk about the break up, & watch World Cup. While they were talking his friend told him that he's been an ass to me. I guess he had to hear it from someone outside the family.

He told us that GF14 has been doing all sorts of things. Saying insulting things about him to people even when he's there. Not even saying bye when he leaves her place. It goes on, but it things such as that. Then she tops it with she would still like to be friends. I never did understand that. When I broke up with someone, the most they would get out of me was a greeting in a social setting, but that's me.

He was given some reasons for the breakup that you would expect out of someone who's 14: You've been depressed lately, actually he has been mending from a compression fracture to his T7 vertebrae plus so incidental soccer injuries; We can't see each other this weekend or next weekend; You're going to be working so much this summer, yeah earning money for that 7 year university degree. There was others but I can't recall them right now.

He still wants to talk to her, maybe even patch things up. My advice was to not become the perverbial doormat. Only time will tell.
