Living in Michigan
not sure if I am doing this right. Long story short. Living in same count for 8 years with husbands ex girlfriend - no divorce decree but she loves Friend of the court - husband never ever missed a cs payment. 2 kids 16 and 14. She kicked both out in October 2014 and we still let her claim SD on taxes that year as she had her ( we split 50/50 all years before this time wise and paid $400 in CS agreed on by both husband and BM) We informed BM in December that we were claiming both on our taxes - sd moved back in to moms in October of 2015 but again - we had them entire year and while we did get our CS that we gave to her we didn't go after her for it even tho we could have and she was very worried about it. Now, today , we get something from FOC saying we missed a meeting with FOC and that we are being required to pay her CS AND they took my income into affect - something they have never done.
A) we are consulting an attorney can she - they - do this? She didn't abandon them so I wouldn't be " replacing a gone parent" sorry I can't remember the Latin for it.

I honestly don't know the answers to your questions. All I can sa is good luck and big hugs. You're going to need it. DH is the custodial parent to SD5 and our FOC is absolutely horrible. We can't get them to do anything. Hopefully yours is better.

Thank you!! I am hopeful - thankfully they are teenagers - never thought I would say that lol - and this will be over eventually. SS16 lives with us full time and has 4 hrs a week plus every other weekend with BM. The exact opposite for SS14.

Thank you - love me some
Thank you - love me some Outlander And thank you for your reply. Actually my income is hourly the same but yearly more as I work more OT. He carries all insurances - costs no more to add me on there than it does for him and 2 kids yet FOC divides it into 4 when taking into consideration - never understood that.
Thanks again for your reply - I have gotten a few comments that have given me some good avenues.
The case is in Ottawa
The case is in Ottawa although we no longer live there. I didn't really read it except that she added my income and was livid - have since calmed down.
We received no notice of said hearing which was 1-5-16. The date that the letter we received on 2-1-16 was signed on 1-25-16. First we had heard of it at all. We will be starting our appeal today. I have all the paperwork - thank goodness I am a packrat lol.
Thanks for the info and the reply!!
hey there! Between Mustang
hey there! Between Mustang and I, we should be able to help you.
the first thing you do is file an objection to the recomomendation.
Tell me the title of the document you received. Was it an FOC recommendation? Was it a proposed order?
