How many of you are kinda weepy today? It's kinda uncanny.

I have been weepy all day. I have a headache and a belly ache. I slept all right, but I feel exhausted today.

Is this stress? How about a new word that takes the place of PMS? BMS - Bio Mother Stress (or syndrome)

I definitely have BMS today.

Need to go back to the land of the disengaged........

Telling BM exactly what you think of her?

RustyHalo's picture

Has anybody done this? Did it make you feel better? Were you worried that she would tell the skids some of the things you said?

I am asking, because I feel the need to tell this "person" what I think of her. She has run her mouth about me for over a year. I have always taken the high road and "let it go." But, when you feel the need to defend your skids, because you love them and they have this complete idiot attempting to raise them and she's doing more damage than good. She is a toxic person in my skids' lives, and therefore, in MY life.

Wayyyyyyyyyyyy O/T - but need to get this out.

Have you ever dealt with someone, and by someone - I mean MEN - who have what we call "the little man syndrome"? Or the Napolean complex or whatever it is. Well, I have a client who is afflicted with this condition and if he wasn't a valuable/profitable client of mine, I would bend down (okay, exaggeration there) and punch him right in the mouth.

Ever met anyone with this condition?

4th weekend in a row...............

RustyHalo's picture

BM called FH a little while ago and asked if we could keep skids this weekend. FH told her that we have a race to go to and we're leaving Friday night and won't be back until Sunday night. It's BM's weekend and it would have made the 4th weekend in a row. Now, even my BM has never attempted this before...hmmmmmmmmm I wonder if BM is just trying to find out what we're doing every weekend. Could this be true? Could she be calling just to see what plans we've made? Why would anyone in their right mind do this? Geez..........I can't predict insanity.

My horoscope today............ Sagittarius

A Sun-Saturn conjunction in your 10th House of Career requires you to work extra hard today, but with shifty Uranus involved, things won't turn out as you expect. A surprising event at home can be the catalyst that starts a chain reaction and releases all kinds of emotions around you. But this doesn't have to be your battle. Carefully creating boundaries and then respecting them can help you move through this hard time with lovely grace.

Great - what the hell is gonna happen next?

Oh well, at least I will be dealing with it while having "lovely grace."

Zyrtec versus Generic

RustyHalo's picture

So my SD8 has very bad allergies. She's got seasonal allergies combined with cat allergies (cat is at BM's house) and so I have SD8 taking Zyrtec. Well, SD8 had an "accident" in her bed the other night and after trying to convince us that her "ceiling must have leaked!" (lord heavens, our roof does not leak!), she eventually told us she had a little accident. SD8 then spoke with BM a little later and BM convinced her that her little accident must have been caused by the Zyrtec.

Okay.......so disengaging doesn't always work!

I am on my way from work and FH calls me to say that SD9 has tons of homework because she didn't go to school yesterday. SD9 says she had a stuffy nose and a sore throat. (from allergies and BM NEVER gives her medicine like she's supposed to.) She seems fine today. SD9 said her mommy stayed home with her. FH is in a rush because SD9 had pitching practice from 4:00 pm (she gets off the bus at 3:45) until 5:00 pm and then softball practice from 6:00 till 8:00.

Struck a nerve............

I had a response on here from someone who said it's not my "place" to volunteer for room mom at my skids school.
I took offense to that. I am a BM and I volunteered at my biokids school everyday for several years until I started working full time. My youngest is now 16 and parents volunteering just doesn't happen at high school except for dances and sporting events which I am involved in.

I swear I'm psychic when it comes to my BM.........

Yesterday, before my SD8 and SD9 were going to be picked up by BM, we were going through their book bags and the girls had forms for Room Moms. They had both asked me to be a room mom at the beginning of school and I told them I would. I was Room Mom for my kids when they were in grade school, I was also PTA treasurer, and I volunteered at the school library. I enjoy that kind of thing. I also want to meet some of the other parents and I want to know their teacher and I want their teachers to know me.
