Ok, get this.
SpermIdiotGrandMa has come up with SpermMath. She has explained how she came to the ever shifting number that SpermDad should pay for winter visitation travel. How she got to her new number is that if SpermIdiot does not take my SS for his court ordered Christmas visitation my Wife and I will have to pay the total round trip from School to our home and back. Because that would be our cost if they don't take him the rules of SpermMath indicate that we should pay for that plus half of the rest of the cost. ????????????????????? :?
I wanna sign up for that college math class. With that logic any future business I ever run will be highly profitable. Let me see, if I had been the founder of GM then I would own a huge percentage of the company and since almost everyone owns GM stock in an IRA or 401K then everyone should pay me not to start a new auto company which will compete with GM and reduce the value of their GM shares. Hey, I am a Billionaire! YEA ME! 
I love this new math.
I am now retired and will only be logging in from the beaches of Fiji on my satellite Modem while sipping umbrella drinks from the navels of bikini clad young beauties while my wife is fed peeled grapes by cabana boy hunks in butt floss bathing suits all while my SS runs the non existent Fortune 5 company that I have never founded.
I love this total loss of connection with reality. It is so much fun.

Why should you pay "plus
Why should you pay "plus half the cost of the rest"? I thought the judgment said "each party wil be responsible for getting the child to their location"? So wouldn't it be you pay to get him to you from school, they pay to get him from you to them & you guys split the cost to get him back to school...so basically right down the middle of the total airfare? Or buy 3 one way tickets, and you guys split the cost of the 3rd ticket?

That is how it has worked up until now. But, SS just started at boarding school this school year so the question of how to deal with the third leg is new.
The travel plan used to be Us - Them - Us. Now it is School - Them - Us - School. That is far more than they are willing to even try to understand.
The Judgement is very clear. "The cost of transportation for all visitations shall be handled by the parties as follows: Each party shall be responsible to provide transportation to bring the minor child from the child's location to the party's location."
We are more than willing to cover the cost of Us-School plus the cost of Them - Us but with the increase in the cost of travel just one leg (School - Them) is more than they can afford. Rather than just tell SS and us that they can't afford it they are deflecting as much as possible in order to make my wife look like the bad guy.
It should pretty much be a mute point since we already purchased the tickets for Christmas based on their statements to SS and to us that SS will not be going to them this holiday.
Spring break is looming so we will be doing it all again in a couple of months.
