Pit
I'm thinking about the word pit right now, as I sit at my desk at my clinic. I like my clinic and my messy desk, they are quite a safe haven at the moment.
I am pitting out, as in sweating under my arms. I have a pit in my stomach thinking about the weekend. I had been looking forward to this weekend. I love my little boys and miss them terribly the weekends they are with their pitbull of a bio father. But I admit, the downtime is nice and my husband and I were making plans to celebrate my b day. Which didn't need to be a big deal, it was more that we had freedom to entertain the idea of going out on a date.
princess was supposed to have knee surgery today, but she called her dad Monday morning in a flip out complaining about homework, tests, loss of boyfriend. He rescheduled the surgery, thinking she needed this weekend to study for tests and stay at school.
This afternoon she put pee up to asking their dad for money to go to a movie tonight. We had no idea she was planning on coming this weekend. Then he receives a text from princess about how much she wants to come 'home' this weekend, but she only has enough gas money to get her stupid monster truck to the house, he'll have to give her gas money to get back. He said no, she would have to cash in one of her bonds for college expenses. she changed the subject of the texts to something else. Then we find out she is planning on picking pee up from school. My husband talked with her and told her that if she comes home, she is responsible for getting herself back to school. she texted him saying how will she do that, she refuses to cash in a bond, and actually put in a 'LOL' with the text. she's going to be twenty (20!!!!).
So far she has attempted to pit pee against his dad by having his dad say no to him about movie money because princess is using pee to get money from their dad. She has attempted (unsuccessfully) to pit us against each other all afternoon dealing with her pitiful sense of entitlement to our money and multiple ploys to obtain some of it before she ever got to the house .
I am wondering how many ways princess will attempt to pit the people in my house against one another this weekend.

Pitiful. But it's
Pitiful.
But it's encouraging that DH didn't fall for the ploys.
Happy Birthday! I'm hoping you are given the gift of a peaceful weekend with your DH.
