If DH and I file joint will that increase his cs?
DH and I filed joint last year.. but I was doing some research on lowering his cs and I was wondering if that would affect us? btw I have a prenup so will it matter if we continue to file joint since I do have the prenup?

In Texas, it doesn't matter
In Texas, it doesn't matter what the spouse makes, BM is NOT entitled to it. It is only based off DHs salary. Your tax return will show what he actually earned with his w-2s or 1099s...whatever forms you get.
BM can't even have our tax return because we are married and the return belongs to me too. The IRS holds the $$ for 180 days before they will release it to Attorney General, then the AG holds it another 180 days...even if I tell them to give it to the bitch, they say no...law is law.
We have arrears because BM took us to court for an increase, they made it retro for 14 months and it added an additional 10,400 to our obligation. Talk about some bullshit!!!
We've been filing joint for 10 years. We get the hag paid off this year and we are going on a BIG VACATION BABY!
It is the same way in North
It is the same way in North Carolina. What I make does not affect the amount of child support or lack of support my husband would get. Only the parents of the child are responsible for the child. Also, anyone would has a simple agreement can go into child support services and request a review of their child support at any time. This is what we are currently going into as the BM pays us and she has requested it.
In IL it doesn't matter if
In IL it doesn't matter if you file joint, contrary to what our BM thought.
