Can someone explain a little please?....

Hey everyone! I've only been a member of this site for a few days now and I need something clarified please...

What's the difference between a blog entry and a forum topic? When is the appropriate time to use either?

Thanks!

LOL, good question prego, I wouldn't consider myself a 'new' member, but I haven't been registered here very long and I still don't know the difference? Only that you can post under blog or under forum. I'd be interested in knowing the difference myself Smile

Welcome!

Just my little opinion, but the forums are conveniently arranged by topic. If you want a specific issue addressed you can place it under the appropriate topic. Blogs can be about anything. I don't think there's any hard and fast rules about when to use either. If I'm off base though, anyone feel free to correct me! Smile

Do they cross reference. Am I missing some of the convo by just posting off of the home page?

I only read off of Recent Posts, and you'll see on the left hand column it lists blog entries & forum entries.

If I'm understanding your question correctly, no they do not cross reference. You must read from both sides. Blogs and Forums are separate from one another.

Thanks for the clarification!! If I understand correctly, on the days I'm looking to rant, rave, and vent I'd probably want to write a blog. If I'm feeling a bit more organized with my thoughts I go to the forums??

It's great to have this!!
