Sd17 moving out

In the next two weeks. She'll be 18 then.

She decided it is a grand plan to drop out of high school. She's in 11th grade. BM won't take her and DH obviously will not let her stay out once she drops out. We helped find her a position as a live in maid. She's lucky we're helping her that much, it requires a 4-5 hour drive each way for us.

She's acting like an absolute idiot. It is her life. Thank God DH doesn't partake in her pity parties and craziness.

For the most part I like my sd17. Except for the fact that she cannot take ANY responsibility for her life. Oh, she's failing Spanish? Me and her dad's fault. Oh she didn't do her laundry? Our fault.

Anyhow, she has a class project due early Jan. where she needs to job shadow someone. She mentioned it to DH in passing months ago. This man is insanely busy and he forgot about it (again, said in passing, not a lengthy conversation). Thankfully I remembered as her only opportunity to do so is Saturday (most of his work is classified).

I have been lurking for quite awhile and finally decided to join. No one IRL understands my situation at all and I have given up trying at this point.

I have one bio child with DH, 10 mo. We also have another on the way.

He has 3 children from his previous marriage- sd17,sd16,and ss13. I get along wonderfully with the oldest and the youngest (though I do get resentful still, it's hard to get over the life you thought you'd have in your head). The sd16 I hate with a passion I never knew existed. I alternate between hating bm and pitying her.
