Ss14 getting cleaning lessons

Pecanflower's picture

This is the 3rd time DH has pulled SS14 into the bathroom to clean it today.

The 3rd time.

Since I am the one with OCD and am "unreasonable" according to SS14 I no longer teach him to clean anything.

I am actually laughing a bit at DHs frustration. See! SS14 is lazy and cuts corners.

That may be SS's intentions. To drive Dad nutty enough to just do it himself.

I had one (now all grown and woud be horrified if his own son pulled this stunt) that disliked doing dishes. Hand washing dishes, because I do not use nor like dishwashers. Anyway, BS in high school started having to do dishes. I and my daughter usually took turns doing them and BS did other things. Well, daughter squealed brother should have to do dishes too, ruined her nails blah blah. So Dad decided, yes, BS takes a turn. So BS happily pitched right in. Once. He, oops, took out three glasses. Oh gosh golly gee, Mom, I'm soooo sorry *rolls eyes*. Yeah, back to regular duty and no more dishes for him. LOL.

Unless someone TRULY is unreasonable, I think a home should be cleaned by all members to the person with the highest standard's liking because why not? It's nice for EVERYONE to live in a clean home and it's not fun for anyone to live in a home that's not as clean as they'd like. My husband's standards are lower than mine but he cleans to my standards because he understands this. It drives me nuts when people think they can half-ass cleaning because that's all they care to do.

At least your DH is making him clean it. My SO only has SD13 clean her bathroom once a month IF that, AND he helps her!

So far SD13 has not once cleaned the SDs bathroom. SD 11 has helped DH twice (with no complaint even). DH is getting sick of cleaning the disgusting bath so he swore that the SDs will start to do it.

I am not holding my breath.
