O/T- had my physical
So, I had my annual physical and I almost died of embarrassment.
During my pap, I farted! :O
Yep, he said just relax and pphhtt out it came. Not a big stinky one, thank dog but still no mistaking what it was.
The nurse, who looked 16 but might have been 20, giggled, the Dr ignored it and I muttered sorry.

I love my Stepdaughter!
I know this site is about venting but I want to say that I love my stepdaughter.
She is sweet and respectful. She thanks me and is appreciative of the things I do for her.
Maybe it's because she was 18 when I met her. Maybe it's because I never tried to be her Mother. Maybe she sees how much I love her Dad and he loves me and she's happy for us. Maybe it's because she didn't listen to the crazy sh*t her mother said about me and made up her own mind.

Having a golden uterus moment
My son is going from Uni to his Dads parents for a visit before coming home for the summer.
My son, his Dad and grandfather all have birthdays in the begining of May, so they are celebrating together. ExH is meeting BS there.
BS will be there for Mothers Day as well.
I'm missing him already and very sad that I won't see him on Mothers Day or his birthday. This is the first time ever that he's been gone for Mothers Day or his birthday.

Another article on being a stepmom
Just read this. I think she makes some good points.
My skids were teens when I met them and are adults now. I feel like I'm more of an aunt, I treat them the same way I treat the kids of my best girlfriends.

Stupid things BM says
We had Easter dinner with the inlaws and SD(26) last night. It was a very nice evening, I get along with everyone and I'm treated like one of the family.
We are chatting after dinner and out of no where SD says that BM said they should freeze her eggs! What???
Yep, BM said we should freeze your eggs because I want to be a grandma someday, and sooner than later.

SS is smarter than DH
SS(24) and his gf came to visit this weekend. GF had a class she needed to take and so DH and SS got to hang out. I had plans with my friends on Sat and SD(25) was out of town at a game.

OK who's BM is this?
The video is long, about 7 mins of BM complaining (then another 10ish of the commentator talking, I didn't watch that part). Sadly, I bet most of us on here know this woman.
This is going on in the parking lot of a police station and she knows she's being filmed or she would be much, much worse I'm sure.
She's standing behind his car, with the children so that he can't leave.
Love the part where she tells the 3 year old that he can go ahead and scratch Daddy's car!

Separating the kid from the parent
I've been watching my nieces 7 yr old son for a couple of days.
He's a good kid, he plays by himself, is polite and respectful. However, he does certain things just like his father and it takes all I have to not berate him!

I feel like Scrooge
We go overboard for Xmas, always have. We can afford it and DH is very giving. It's in the spirt of Christmas, it's better to give than receive, and not in the I'm buying your love way.
This year I'm really annoyed and am feeling like an awful Scrooge about a few things.
These feelings have been building for a few years and this year I just feel like I want to b*$ch about it to someone, anyone!

memories past from parents to children?
Is this why we can't connect to our skids? Why DH is so connected and seems to understand things and sees things the same way they do? It could also explain mini wives and why SDs are sometimes so annoying. They have the same memories and feel connected, while we feel left out.
