My pity party.... Did I mention how much I hate Mother's day?

For those who saw my screaming I hate Mother's Day caption, here is an update.

Friday night was spent cleaning the house "out of respect" to BM and her family when they showed up. Of course, there are two mother's day cards laying on the counter, one for BM and one for MIL.

I HATE MOTHER'S DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously, I HATE mother's day. The LAST thing I need is a day dedicated to reminding me of the strained relationship with my own mother and that I'm not a real mom. Sure, I help raise quasi-SS17 during the entire school year as BM lives several states away...but I'm not a real mom. In the past, BF/DP has tried to do something nice like take the family out for lunch or a casual dinner. Quasi-SS17 just uses that opportunity to try to hurt me with the she's not my mom type talk, or the not-so subtle saying the word dad before all conversations, as if to exclude me.
