SD needs to go to school!!!
Does anyone else have trouble with the BM not sending skid to school?? Or always picking them up early because they are sick??
SD used to pull this with SO all the time he finally wised up to it and stopped buying into it. So miraculously SD stopped trying to stay home sick every morning or calling him to pick her up from school because she was sick.
So now at least 2-3 days a week at BM's SD is too sick to go to school. YEAH RIGHT!! BM won't take her to the doctor either because she doesn't want to pay the co-pay. So she just lets her stay home or she goes and picks her up early. So the pattern is this when SD is with us she goes to school every day. She has missed one day that I can remember and SO took her to the doctor that day. When she is with BM she misses school on a regular basis. We are at a loss on what to do. SO tried to talk to BM about it last night but BM flipped out and started cussing him out so he hung up on her. Then he asked me what my opinion was and I honestly don't know. I mean when SD is with us she goes to school but we can't force her to go on BM's week. I told him maybe he needs to address it with SD impress upon her the importance of going to school. He is going to get the attendence record from the school today. I think SO and BM are on the brink of being called in to the school because of SD excessive absences.

Wow it is just so sad!! We have SD EOWeek thank goodness so at least we have control over that. I have to give SO credit he tried to handle it maturely with BM but she did her usual freak out. She starts the crazy train and he just hung up the phone. I hope if it comes to truancy court that they will see the pattern of her missing days on BM's time and punish her for it. One can only hope
My SD16 is always out of
My SD16 is always out of school...Mostly because she stays up till 4am and then is to tired to get up....She complains of sore throat, belly pain, just don't feel good....BM always lets her stay home and so does DH....I told him last time if she has no fever, no vomiting, no diarrhea then there really is no need to stay home. She hates when she is at our house since i always check her, whip out my equipment, she starts rolling her eyes, love it!!!! Only problem is when i leave early I cant so she usually pulls her shit then....Last quater she was out 20 times....It is ridiculous. All times nothing wrong with her...

It's horrible and there is nothing we can do about it. :O I mean SO can go and pick her up every day from BM's and take her to school. Or call SD every morning and make sure she is going to school. Or call the school every day and make sure SD is in school but that doesn't really solve the problem. I mean it is up to BM to make sure she goes to school but judging by her past she doesn't give a shit!! She didn't graduate and neither did her oldest DD24. SD21 barely graduated but BM used to let her stay home all the time too. She said she didn't need to graduate and get a job because he BF at the time would take care of her :jawdrop: Such a fine example to set for your daughters loser BM!!!
I dont have a problem with SD
I dont have a problem with SD not going to school due to BM not making her because DH has custody. BM doesnt have overnights with SD on the weeks because when she had custody she would never make her go..However SD's brother NEVER goes to school because BM doesnt make him. Just recently he didnt go because he got kicked off the bus and because BM doesnt have a liscense or car she doesnt make him go because she doesnt want to find him a ride..
