And it was a good surprise for a change! I made plans to not be here on Mother's day and was just going to spend the afternoon with my daughter and go out to dinner with her after last year all the skids not even acknowledging mother's day for me.

This year mother's day -- the two younger skids, SD17 and SS19 bought me a beautiful bouquet of flowers, SD17 texted me happy mother's day (because I wasn't home -- I was with a friend), my BD18 gave me a bouquet of flowers and a beautiful card (made me cry!) and then she and SS21 took me out to dinner and treated me!! And SS21 bought me a nice card and wrote me something very nice and sweet -- thanking me for being there and supporting him all these years!

Yes -- I know! Pick up your jaws and put them back in place -- I, too, was blown away!

It was so nice for them to treat me with respect for a change and be nice. The last couple of weeks have actually been a lot better. I think me leaving for almost a week jolted them back to reality that it could be a real possibility that I might leave -- they know I'm tired of their crap and if I leave, they know it will be because of them. So they have been making a better effort.

And I have been praying A LOT!
