I left skids a little "to do" list on the bathroom mirror with a post-it to try to teach them some kind of responsibility!
Does anyone else leave notes for the skids at night? I'm trying something different...so I left a note on a heart shaped post-it stuck on their bathroom mirror that said "Jane & Jack, please make sure that you pick everything up in your room and bathroom...also make sure you have everything packed up that you want to take to your mom's by the front door in the morning."
I don't mind their rooms being messy or cluttered when the skids are with us, however when I know that they are going to their mom's house, I want them to pick up their rooms... I do have to say that since I've been in the home they are made to actually "clean" their rooms...(dust, vacuum and pick up). I'm proud of them because they do REALLY clean when they're supposed to, however, they are both sloppy during the time they stay with us...if they had any common sense they would just keep everything picked up and it wouldn't take them an hour or hour and a half to clean and pick up...
I DO make them pick up their crap in the common areas while they are with us, however they can keep their rooms as messy as they want to. But, like I said, they have to pick their rooms up every time they go to their mother's house. FH is on board and backing me up...now. He is the one that is the 'neat freak' but it used to be that he would always pick up after the skids, now he is telling them to pick up after themselves. I'm somewhat of a 'proud mama' right now!

The "to do" list is a good
The "to do" list is a good idea! I'll have to try that out. I'm such a neat freak too, I have to keep the kid's rooms door shut at.all.times because I can't stand to look at it if everything's not in place. My son is usually pretty good at keeing his room 'straightened' up, my daughter on the other hand is not. I'm constantly telling her to clean her room. I hear it gets worse as they get older too! LOL

How old are your kids? My skids are 10 (SS) and 13 (SD). SD is way more messy than SS...although SS isn't too far behind her. SD is just plain disgusting sometimes...she leaves wrappers laying around in her room, opened make up on the ground, and her tooth brush laying anywhere. I thought boys were supposed to be way more gross than girls...guess not...
My BD is 8 and my BS is 10.
My BD is 8 and my BS is 10. I thought boys were supposed to be messier too...but not in my house, LOL.

Whenever my skids are here
Whenever my skids are here for an extended stay my husband leaves them notes of things to get done while we are at work. His lists are way more extensive then mine would ever be.

The purchase of a bathroom
The purchase of a bathroom vanity lighting fixture that works really well with natural and electrical lights can be considered as one great decision. This means that before you make an actual choice, you have to consider the amount of natural light that comes in your bathroom through its windows or skylights. After considering this, you will be able to choose the kind of fixture that complements well with the natural light during daytime and which works effectively during dark hours. You will then be guaranteed that good lighting and bathroom illumination will be completely achieved even in multiple angles. This means that you can see yourself properly in whatever angle that you choose. To enjoy all these benefits, you should consider purchasing a lighting fixture with the best quality. By doing so, you are allowing yourself to make a very favorable investment for your home.
