O/t kinda. I emailed an Academic Counselor.
*crosses fingers and toes*
I've decided to talk to an AC for help, and see if it's possible to work and still go back to school. I'm hoping I'll be able to get the degree(s) needed to become either a Victim Advocate or a Paralegal with specializations in family court.
I'm terrified of going back to school at almost 30.

My daughter is 28 and
My daughter is 28 and transferring from community college to a university to finish her bachelors degree. She is working full time (35-45 hrs/week) and going to school full time (12 hours/semester). And she's talking about graduate school after. I'm 57 and I'm STILL talking about going back for a PhD. I don't need it for my job, I just WANT those initials after my name.
You can DO this. Most colleges/universities have a program for returning women students, or nontraditional students. The academic advisor will know. Use those kinds of resources for sure.
I'll have those initials
I'll have those initials after my name! Not PhD but....MamaFox, CP/RP.
Family Law Paralegals are the

Family Law Paralegals are the lowest paid specialist paralegals.

Well, looks like I'll be
Well, looks like I'll be going for my BS as opposed to just an AS. I was reading "Paralegals Today", and the website for the local chapter of NALA (National Association of Legal Assistants) pretty much stated "Anything less than a BS will not get you hired in Oklahoma as a Paralegal. And both the ABA and NALA strongly suggested taking the extra courses to become a CERTIFIED Paralegal as opposed to as certifiCATED paralegal.
I got my second degree at 28.
I got my second degree at 28. That is the field I am in now. It definitely improved my income.
I went back to school at 38
I went back to school at 38 for my Master's and finished in four years going part time. Meanwhile, I was a single parent and working full time. Was it tough? Very. Was it worth it? Absolutely!
You're so young!30? I had classmates in their 60s. You're never too old to keep learning. I plan to keep learning until the day I die. I'm always trying new things, taking classes for fun through the adult learning programs through our school district.
You probably are having a hard time now imagining how you'll do it all, but once you're actually doing it, you'll see that you're managing.
Good luck!!
