UPDATE: SS2 chipped his tooth and BM didn't even notice
We took pictures of SS2's chipped front tooth yesterday and taped him saying that it hurt and that it happened at his mom's house. Then DH sent a text to BM demanding to know what had happened to SS2's tooth.
DH: SS2's front tooth is chipped and I need to know what happened.
BM: Oh. Yes. He said it hurt yesterday when I picked him up from your house.
DH: He told us yesterday morning that it happened at your house.
BM: No.
And that was it.
So, I'm guessing she had no idea until DH informed her and then, of course, tried to pin it on us. She's supposed to be brushing his teeth in the morning (she doesn't though), so she would have noticed if she was doing what she was supposed to be doing.
Anyway, it took us 2.5 days to notify her because we wanted to get pictures and she STILL didn't notice that her son's front tooth is chipped BIG TIME. The entire left bottom corner of his left front tooth is gone.
This is the same freaking lady who texted DH ten times on Tuesday because SS2 was "upset" because he wasn't wearing underwear (he had an accident on laundry day). Of course, it took her 3 hours after she picked him up from us to even realize SS2 wasn't wearing underwear because she has SS5 potty training SS2.
But a chipped tooth is no big deal.

Why didn't your husband take
Why didn't your husband take him to the dentist when he noticed it? Even a baby tooth needs to be repaired.
We have an appointment set
We have an appointment set for today, actually.
This is an interesting question, though. DH had a very, em, interesting childhood, and had most of his baby teeth knocked out by the age of 6 without any long term physical damage. Based on this experience, I suppose he assumed it wouldn't hurt SS2 in the long run.
I posted here, though, and Echo was the one who convinced DH to take SS2 to the dentist because of possible damage to the way the adult teeth will grow in. I'm really glad she did, because I was beginning to think that my "freak out" over the situation was just that . . . me freaking out over nothing.
