Attorneys and judges and court. Oh my!

For those that remember, BM filed for an RO against DH because she was "in fear for her life". The order stipulates that when DH has visitation, it must be supervised by MIL. BM has since refused to send skids to MIL's on the weekends because they're always "too busy". @@ Except for one baseball game of SS8's a few weeks ago, he has not seen skids for visitation since before Easter.

DH tries to act like it doesn't bother him much, but I can see it in his eyes. So, after talking it over, we decided to meet with an attorney tommorow morning to see what can be done. I did the intial phone consultation since DH is working, and the attorney said that the judge that issued the RO is notorious for doing just that, even when there is nothing to warrant one. However, he also said that there would be a next to nothing chance of having the order reversed and that part would just have to ride out until the RO expires in March. As far as DH being able to see the kids goes, there are two options. A) Go back in front of the judge that issued the order and have it modified specifically as to when DH gets to see the kids, or Dirol Go back to the court where DH and BM's divorce was finalized and have the original visitation schedule ammended. I'm not sure what good that would do though because I would think an RO would trump existing visitation. But what do I know? I didn't go to law school.

I guess we'll see where this goes, and make BM put her $$ where her mouth is.

BTW, MIL has been since calling DH and bashing BM who she was all on board with, until she realized that she wasn't going to get DH's actual visitations. @@ DH told her she got what she wanted and to shut her face.

I totally hate the legal system but here is my opinion- The Judge ordered a RO and specified that visitation would be supervised by MIL. The Judge didn't say for the skids not to see their father and that's PASing.

Good Luck, I hope DH gets to spend time with his children before too much damage is done to the children. Hang in there!
