After 12 years, I am done being the only one who takes any interest in my step kids overall life. I am a custodial step mom of three. You would never guess these kids have 2 other parents. They both including my DH have left it up to me to do the parenting. The older 2 are fine and will graduate next year. The youngest is been a challenge, not only getting him diagnosed with ADHD, (that I had to beg his parents to get him evaluated since he was in 1st grade and finally for it to happen in 6th grade and it came back that yes he is ADHA) 

I have asked his mother to help me and I have asked my DH to help, they both seem to be in the mind set just let him fail he will learn. I tried really hard to not give up I have hit a wall and have to stopped. I don’t want to fight anymore with him when both his parents seam to just let him be the victim of life and then do nothing and I am the mean step mom.

Maybe they will step up when he does his rock bottom ☹
