Well, dammit, I guess I care, after all...

Just a couple of days ago I posted that I was all out of give-a-damns for my SD13 and sincerely thought it was the case.

Then yesterday, she did the sweetest thing...

Saturday evening her birth-grandmother came to get her and took her out to get a dozen pink roses for her BM for Mother's Day. SD brought them in and put them in water for the night, then took them with her the next morning for a Mother's Day breakfast with BM's side of the family.

Apparently, my SD only gave her mother 11 roses. She had stolen one to give to me (I was unaware and hadn't received it yet or I would have advised her against it). Her BM and BGM spent the entire breakfast fussing and cussing at her about it right there in IHop in front of everybody:( When SD came home a couple of hours later, you could tell she'd been crying.

So yeah, my stupid give-a-damn kicked back in and I seem to have found a few more fucks to give.

I hope I am not being a fool. But shit... they shouldn't have treated her that way just because she wanted to do something nice for her SM:(

We actually had a very nice Mother's Day after she got home. My husband cooked on the smoker and we all took a dip in the pool:) Very peaceful and sweet day.

I told DH not to get me anything yet because I am getting a printer for Mother's Day and I want to be with him to pick it out. My DD made me a homemade gift and SD had told me she didn't have any money but asked if it was okay if she just wrote me a letter and I had told her kinda off-handedly that it was fine and don't worry about it (remember I didn't have any fucks to give at that time). So I honestly didn't think anything more about it...certainly didn't expect that she'd do what she did.

So now I'm thinking she really means it this time when she says she wants a relationship? I just don't want to keep riding on this roller coaster if it's not real, KWIM? But I also don't want to reject the child of the man I love if she really means well this time.

I wonder is SD told BM and GBM that she gave you a flower or if they sat there and counted the flowers?

SD said they counted the flowers and that's how they knew. I don't quite know what to make of that. Do you think they actually anticipated she would give me one and wanted to make sure she'd pay for her actions if she did?

She said she finally admitted to giving me one after they kept badgering her about it. Then they wanted to know if my DH made her do it or if it was her idea. She told them it was her idea. Then the shit hit the fan.
