FDH and Talk Vs. Action

KatDarling's picture

My feelings regarding FSD9 are somewhat complicated. She was raised in a way that I don't necesssarily agree with and as a result her interests are mainly playing video games, running wild, and talking about herself. When FDH and I try to do kid oriented activities with her she is ungrateful, lacking in manners, and a general pain in the ass. However, she has been nice to me lately and I do my best to be warm and tolerant while still encouraging good behaviors.

Why I'm Sick of FSD's Picky Eating

I have read several blogs and forum posts and I know that I am not alone in having a pickey eater on my hands. FSD will eat pizza, chicken nuggets, mozarella sticks, waffles, and desserts. Honestly, it drives me crazy. I'm beginning to isolate a few reasons why I find this so annoying.

1. FDH says he disapproves of her limited tastes but makes no attempt to introduce her to new foods.

Do you skip events where BM will be present?

FSD has an event coming up. BM will be there and FSD and FHD both want me to attend.

However,BM had been sending me text messages for several weeks that were at first hateful but quickly turned threatening. I threatened legal action and she began texting me through the anonymous text message provider textem. I was able to have my number blocked from the site and FDH gave BM an earful. I have thankfully not heard from her since.

Everything is a contest with FSD9

This seems to be a common theme, SDs making everything a contest with SM, constantly competing for Daddy's attention. UGH. It annoys me to no end and I try to stay out of it but FSD9 just loves to jump in and one up me.

For example ...

My FDH and I were joking that I never drink enough water and that I will soon start sweating Diet Coke. I told him that he would be thrilled that I had four whole glasses of water that day. FSD9 just screams from the other room, "I had TEN glasses of water today!".

Hello

KatDarling's picture

I have been lurking on this site for a bit and have finally decided to register and participate. I am experiencing lots of stress related to my FDH, FSD and BM. More stress is the last thing I need in my life so I'm glad I have a place to vent and share.
