School starts in two days where we live.

Thursday 5am I will be up SINGING to get the skiddos out of bed and send them on their way.

Then I am taking the day off to sit in my SILENT house, sip coffee and do NOTHING!!!!

Smile ...I did this (still do and only one still at home is my own kid DD13) for years. My favorite day of the whole year. Back to school. My countdown begun the 1st of August and I've 10 more days to go. I use to take the first whole week off to get my house back in order and regroup a sense of peace and sanity.

My SILs started school last Thursday. I can't wait for the little skater punks next door to go back to school!

My mother woke me up every day from the time I can remember with "GOOD Morning Good MORNING! It's time to start the day! Good Morning! Good Morning to you!!" And variations there of.

totally random and bizarre, I know. But my incubator ("mother") used to sing that all the time to my daughter. At my incubator's wake, as family had the last farewell, my daughter walked up to the casket and sang it right back to her.
gah. how these things lie buried deep within us.

SD comes back for school in 16 days.

I have really enjoyed my summer of DSO and I being able to take off in the evenings, not having to cook big meals.

The best thing is that SD finally goes to a school in the school bus area and I don't have to pick her up on my days off.
