what to do???
Ugh I don't know what to do... My 20 SS moved in with us about 2 months ago. He's had a past history with herion. He's turned our house upside down. Stays up all hours, sleeps all day refuses to look for a job says he plans on going to college in the fall but that's months away. I bought $200 in groceries and he ate it all in 2 days. Stole money from my purse, used MY car with a set of keys he stole out of his dad's nightstand. Then he took money from his grandma and left he's been I'm guessing on a binder for the last 6 days he called my husband all high wanting to be picked up from a motel room but wasn't sure where he was this morning. Now my husband is on his way to go get him and bring him back to our house. Part of me really really wants to call his PO and tell him to do a drug test, a blood test and not a piss test cause he buys urine!!! But then I'd most likely be sending him to prison for 6 yrs... Grrrr advice anyone???

OMG I would NOT be having this guy in my house. Heroin addicts are scum, they drain the life out of everything and everyone around them. Id tell your husband, either he goes or they both go.
I would tell DH if he comes
I would tell DH if he comes back in my house, I am calling the cops - he is a danger to me and our family. Period!! HUGS
Thanks everyone. Your
Thanks everyone. Your comments is what I've been thinking we have a 5 yo in the house. We can't have this influence around
Im not familiar with your
Im not familiar with your story sorry, didnt know you have a 5 year old. How does your husband condone having a heroin addict in the house with a young child? Appaling :jawdrop:
I totally sympathize. SS19
I totally sympathize. SS19 came to stay with us--he was supposed to find work and get a life in our great college town. Perhaps go to school. DH hadn't spent much time with him over the past 5 years, we knew he'd been in trouble with multiple arrests but figured he was just dumb (drinking). Uh--no. He is a bonafide alcoholic. When he starts drinking he can't stop and ends up losing all his judgement and does crazy things. Like bring a skank here at 3 a.m. to eat our food. He was barely here, went home to "pack" then came back, not sure why as he had no intention of really making a life. So decided he would go home again and go into the Army. I have no idea why BM was paying for tickets back and forth. And family gave him money to get started in life. All of it wen to partying.
Well, the next to last night here, he went out and got drunk and wouldn't come home despite DH begging him. He got arrested for underage drinking and public intoxication. If he hadn't been on his way out the door, I would have kicked him out. There is no way you have to enable an addict by allowing them to live with you. It might be one thing if they were on the path to sobriety but hell no, someone isn't going to lay around for 2 days, have one good day, and then go out and do it again on my dime.
He is due this week for court. He could get jail time because of previous offenses. Also probation (no Army til that is over) or as he told DH, he could go to rehab -= but he "doesn't have a problem"!
It is sickening, with disaster and death in his future for sure unless he straightens out.
I don't have advice, just a
I don't have advice, just a question. Why is he still in your home? I would immediately call and report him and tell DH he can't be there or you are leaving. Don't ever put yourself in a dangerous situation. An addict who needs a fix is unpredictable.
omg I just read you have a 5 year old there too?? No no no no. He should be gone or you should be. I wish you luck!!!
you have a 5 year old and you
:jawdrop: you have a 5 year old and you let him in in the first place? Call the po and get
Him the hell out!!!
When he came to our house 2
When he came to our house 2 months ago he had just gotten out of a 4 month rehab, he was clean and sober. He met up with a friend who we didn't know. It turns out this person was an old drug buddy. Then his backslife into old habits. I want him out I told my husband he is gone and he agrees he can not be around my SD. He is making arrangements for him to leave our house. And he knows he is not coming back. I wanted to believe he was clean and give him the benefit of doubt, I've been burned for the last time by this kid.
