I can not say how much I dreaded going to this gathering but I went. Before leaving my home I placed the local Sheriff and local police departments phone numbers in my phone,(just in case) then I sincerely prayed about it all. I had made up my mind before leaving that I would be very nice and even if I had a rude confrontation from any of the haters I would only be kind. I was told that the msd that we had not seen in 5 years would be there and she was not. The skids bm was there but she was polite. I worried all in vain and now I am glad I went. I had told my dh that if there was ANY problem at all, any unkind words, snide remarks, treating me invisible, ANYTHING, .... I was done. I would not put myself in such environment again. osd has really been trying to have a good relationship and in-spite of her sister,(my hater msd) and her mother, she named the baby after my dh. I think that her mother (hater #1) really tried hard to persuade osd to change their mind about naming baby after dh. Anyway, it was all good.
