BM is such an obsessive wacko......HELP PLEASE!!!!

Ok, I'm Tanner5121 but had to close my other acct after SS 12 found it last weekend.

Anyway, I'm sick to my stomach. I bought a black 750 li BMW in black several months ago......so, SS12 calls DH to inform him, BM bought the exact same car today . Exact same model and color.

WTF????? What a freaking jealous hearted copy cat!! I'm tempted to freaking get rid of it tomorrow and get something else.

I know you guys probably think I'm being petty but it just bugs me so much!!!

Why would she do that?? What's she trying to prove???

I feel sick to my stomach, DH says I should be flattered she copies me....NOT

Please gals, help me put this in perspective so I can let it go.

I would laaaaaugh, because I just looked that up and CHOKED at the price.

Can BM afford that?

It's why I laugh at our BM; she buys convertibles every two years when she should be sticking to what she can afford; an econobox.

Not on a teachers salary in Texas, but with the money she got in the divorce years ago....maybe. I doubt she has that money left though.

She probably got a big tax return and used that for the down payment ......

I'm just pissed she went out and bought the exact car I did.....I assume she trying to send me a message....I'm just totally disgusted!!!

They live in a shitty area and if I were her I wouldn't even own that type of car where she lives!!!!!

I should add it is not new....it's a 2009 but had 11k miles on it......I'm 99 percent sure hers is a much older model.....I seriously am SO FREAKING ANNOYED I can't see straight.

Dh thinks it's hilarious and thinks I'm getting worked up over nothing.

I'd be irked too.

Your feelings are your feelings, and you're allowed to have them. You're not allowed to let your feelings push you into irrational or illegal things like pimento-cheese-sandwiching BM's car. (apparently certain sandwich fixings eat paint) But at what point are your feelings destructive to YOU? If you can turn the annoyed into "point and laugh" or "Winning!" or "So, you want to be like me, BUT YOU'RE NOT" it's probably better.

And even so on the used bit - I wouldn't be buying a BMW on a teacher's salary, no way, no how.

Lol......I'd be more concerned about living in a nice, clean, safe area before I bought a luxury car.

Next time I talked to SS12, I would gush about how cute it is how BM copied off of you. "Don't you think that's kind of cute?" I'd ask. That would REALLY piss her off. Smile

Honestly, I think she is just jealous and trying to live any bit of your life that she can...If a car is the closest then I wouldn't be to worked up:) just feel a little bad for her haha.

Just focus on the satisfaction you'll have when karma bites her in the a$@ and the repo guy shows up! BM blammed us when exs new dodge truck was repoed! I kindly reminded her CS was for SS not BFs truck payment! But in all honesty I would be pissed too!

Hey hatecopycats - I know the 750 is nice but I just got a 2007 328Xi for $13,500 - so I would trade the 750 in and get a very sporty one - our BM went and got a luxury car when she was not paying us CS and I about killed DH over that one - then when she started paying CS she would cry that she couldn't afford it and I told her then trade in your car and get one you can afford - she was not happy about that one - I really can't wait until SS comes this Summer and sees it for the first time and calls BM to tell her that I have a BMW (his favorite car) and it is a newer year than hers!!! She is going to sh*t a brick because she thinks DH and I should not have nice things - it must mean we are not paying her enough if we go on nice vacations and have nice things - even SS has told me that I am not worthy of a nice car only his mom- well wait till he sees my new ride!!!

Caregiver- I have owned a 328 before....they are great cars and much sportier then the 7 series.....also have had a z4 BMW which I loved.

I have always been partial to BMW s and BM has always owned FORD's so I'm not sure what is up with her getting the same car as mine.

I'm sure your BM will have a fit and have much shit to talk to SS and DH about your car.
