Tonight, the last 2 SKIDS graduate! :D

At 6 pm EST, my DH's twins graduate from high school! I don't know anyone IRL who has been happier to see a pair of kids graduate from HS, more than I.

I never thought that this day would come! His son was so close to not graduating, but ended up pulling a good final score, out of his a$$.

No. More. Child Support!

So, while DH is attending this blessed event, I will be sipping my tasty Margarita, on my back deck, thinking about what we will be doing with the extra ~$1000/month. Wink

Nope! BM did not file for post-majority support. I checked the papers a year ago when I started the count down.

His daughter remembered that she had a father, approximately a month ago after 5-6 years of ignoring him (imagine my surprise at this coincidence) and he hasn't seen his son since Christmas, and this was for the annual "gift pick-up."

His kids have been PAS'd by the BM, the first ex and the twins' older sister. Despite hundreds and hundreds of texts, phone calls, messages from DH to them they do not return any calls, texts etc. A counselor, at their school gave him a ticket, because the kids/BM did not give him one although they received 10 tickets, in total.

So, we are free at last!

Congrats! For years, I looked forward to the kind of night you are having. And then SS turned 15 ish and BM sent him to us. She even gave and CS and paid it to US!!

I would have rather paid for a few more years and have the celebration like you get! lol. I kind of feel robbed.

WOW Congratulations!
I understand SO has to pay CS(I get CS too). However, it does make life easier having that extra $1000/month.
Is it bad that I do a countdown as well?
SD will be 15 and SS is 13, so I think WOW, 5 more years to go.
Then I remember about College, which bothers me...Divorced Kids get their education for free and yet, children with non divorced parents, get student loans...depending on their income....I think when your 18 CS should stop! Its a little ridiculous to be paying a 21 year old CS. I was pregnant with my daughter by then LOL.

Yeah, I know what you mean. My DH paid the weekly CS, on time and without fail. So no one can say that despite being treated like a bag of dog turd, he didn't do what he was supposed to do.

The whole college thing is BS. I paid my way and didn't complete my monthly student loans until I was 10 years post-grad. We are, by no means, volunteering for that. Perhaps, they can ask their mother and her fan club. They have made no mention how or when they are going to school.....

I had a weekly countdown for the last few years. Oh crud.... DH has to call the Life Insurance company. BM and SKIDS are no longer beneficiaries, as of 6 pm....

Dh is stuck til 25 if the kids go to college, but i guess thats dependent on them ever graduating high school, or even middle school. Sd is 2 years behind, ss is 3.
