I like a lot of these.
I like a lot of these. Especially the ones about not being able to be happy when you have negativity surrounding you. I think a lot of people in toxic relationships (weather an SO, child, parent, in-law, friend) just get sucked in and don't see that the other person is bringing them down.
One quote that I've always loved is "if you woke up tomorrow with only the things you thanked God for today, what would you have?"
another that goes hand in hand is "remember that there are people fiercely praying for the things you take for granted every day" (I always think of this one in terms of health. After watching someone I love pass from cancer, the small stuff just doesn't seem to matter as much.
I don't mean to stir up a religious debate, weather you believe in a higher power or not, the whole point is just about focusing on the things that are going right and the blessings rather than only focusing on what you don't have.

I was doing much better today until 5 minutes ago. My son just texted me. He wasn't supposed to deploy until next week. Well he just found out he will be leaving tomorrow. He has a brand new bride that he just moved clear across the states from home. And they just found out that she is expecting. My heart is breaking for both of them. Him having to leave his pregnant wife and her being all the way out there with no family or friends during her pregnancy. All I can do is pray.
