Youngest sil called

Last night the youngest sil calls and apologizes for her and oldest sil's behavior. Then she tells me that she doesn't see how I can tolerate the way H and sd act all the time. I felt like telling her alcohol and lots of it. Biggrin I couldn't tell her that I'm counting the minutes until sd is gone. Anyway I thank her and tell her to keep in touch. I don't really want anything to do with her or any one else in that family besides FIL. They're all a bunch of hypocrites and snobs. As far as I'm concerned they can go to a hot place in a handbasket and take sd with them. I know I'm an awful person but I just don't like them. They've degraded and put me down for years. I put up with it for MIL's sake but not anymore.

I am glad that you at least received an apology, and I truly hope it was sincere. Like I said on your earlier post, funerals can definitely bring out the worst in people. And you're not an awful person just because you don't like them or don't want anything to do with them...you've learned from experience that your life is better without them in it. There's only so much people can take before they say enough.

I'm glad that you final got an apology but it is always a little too late. I don't like my FILs either and I only met them once! I don't like the way they treat BM like she is family and treat my FH like a red headed step child. They weren't very receptive to me either. Talked around me like I wasn't even there. They can kiss my butt.
