This is Kinda Funny
Dh and Ss came home from camp Sat. Evidently Ss learned how to "cook" while at camp. He decided that he wanted to cook dinner last night so I found a one pot wonder recipe for him to try.
First, we had to go to the grocery store to get what we needed for his dinner. While we were at the store, I heard him say hi to a girl. The entire time after that we had to look for this girl in the store. Ss said that he had something that he wanted to tell me but didn't want to get in trouble. I said as long as he doesn't say something bad that he shouldn't say, he could tell me. So, he gets real shy and says that he kinda likes this girl. I said that that was perfectly fine to like this girl. So we went about our shopping.
Then we went to the check out lane and he was telling me that he needed more breath spray(uh-oh!). I was looking at that and those breath strips when the little blond girl and her mother got behind us in line. Oh my God, it was so funny. I had to instantly stop talking about breath spray and strips. Ss was so concerned that this girl was going to think he had bad breath. hehe!
I think puberty has started!!!

Watching our boys slowly becoming men, lol. My son who will be 11 in August is starting to notice girls too. Last weekend he asked me to buy him some Tag body spray while at the grocery store. I asked him who is was trying to smell good for and he just blushed and said " I just want it for me." So the next day he went to a friends birthday party at the local skating rink and loaded(and I do mean loaded) up on the Tag spray, I had to drive with my window down to get some air, lol. Anyway, I walk him in to pay for his inline skates and he rushes over to the birthday boy and who is standing with him but his adorably cute blonde hair blue eyed twin sister....I watched my boy beaming ear to ear chatting with her and thought to myself" And so it begins, lol". At least I know who he wanted to smell good for now.
MY SS
Is about the same age and he had me buy him some Axe cologne. So he can be sexy!!!!! Until he ran out of the stuff he KILLED us with that scent. OMG I thought I'd die laughing.
Awwww
I just love the boys...too sweet!

Heres a good one...
Sunday my almost 11 yr old is with his dad and has an AllStar Baseball game at 6pm (4th year making the All Star team yeahhhhh!) anyway my cell phone rings about 3 and he ask me where I am I told him shopping why? he say "Well I aske Rachel (his little girlfriend) if she wanted to come to my game and she said yes and Dad said he would pick her up but I was wondering if you can take her home?(he was coming home with me after his game) I didn't know what to say I was stunned who is this kid what did he do to my little boy that thought girls were nasty. Of course I said I would take her home but I also let it be known this is not going to become a habit he is a little young for me to be toting his girlfriend around already. But it was really cute how shy he suddenly became.
Live for today, you may not have a tommorow
I agree
My Ss is 11 going on 12 in a couple of months and he knows that he can't have a "girlfriend" yet. However, crushes are fine. I think at this age they hang out in groups anyway.
You're right though. I won't be driving him and a girl around on a date.
The only problem is this is another big point where us and Bm disagree. She's all for him having a girlfriend too young. I know what her moral compass is like. That's how she had Ss in the first place. She has two kids from two different guys, none of whom she was married to. Anyway, we will see how it goes. It's cute now but if Bm gets involved it may get ugly.

Have you seen that commercial yet? It is so funny, guy has on either Tag or Ax spray and lady in grocery store smells it and starts going bow chicka wa wa..moving towards guy, lol, lol, omg my l0 year old gets out of the shower last night and has sprayed himself and comes walking in my room and goes "Hey mom!, bow chicka wa wa..."and we both started laughing our butts off...so funny! I too have made it clear to him that he is to young to be getting wound up in girls, gotta take it slow, but it is so cute when they start to see girls as something other than yuk..as well as seeing themselves in a different light..he likes to check himself out in the mirror now...lol, doing his hair different ways ect...

Too Funny!
Your stories are all so cute and funny. My SS and SD for some reason feel the need to spray from head to toe. And in the case of SD, usually it is some cheap and horrible smelling body spray or perfume that the BB has given her because she dosn't want it for herself. They know that I am very sensitive to strong smells, so I personally think they do it just to aggravate me. Usually I will walk around and say "What the hell is that smell?!?!" and she'll say "Oh, it's me. My Mom gave me some perfume. "Snicker" And I'm like Damn did you have to bath yourself in it???? It's loud as hell! I don't mean to sound ugly, but it kills me that these kids hardly ever see this woman. She pays no child support. And never attends any school functions or even concerns herself with their every day lives. And she give SD a Stanky perfume that she herself dosn't want, and SD walks around like none of the other stuff even matters. Like that makes up for all the things that she does not do for them. I'm sorry, I'm venting. I wish I had cute little stories to tell. But I am enjoying yours.
THANKS.
