I am a 30 year old woman who never thought of becoming a step mother. However, life has never worked out that way for me lol. I am the step mother of a wonderful ( when she wants to be) step daughter. I have been with my husband for over a year and a half now. The only thing that causes problems for the relationship is his ex-wife. I have tried being nice, welcoming, and hell I have just let her come at me verbally A LOT during this time. I figured she was just upset that she is divorced and that she feels threatened by her daughters growing love for me as a mother figure in her life.
