Proud Mama - Off Topic
My son has asked me several times for acting lessons. I always chalked it up to him being enamoured with Disney shows and thinking that he'd get to go live in one of those "amazing houses" that they have the sets look like.
Anyway - a friend of mine is a director at a local theatre and they were casting for a junior musical production. It casually came up in conversation about this show and my son was all like "I WANT TO AUDITION! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!" So I finally relented - my son has never sang an entire song in his life, he knows nothing about acting or musicals or any of the like - but I said ok.
So I take him in there and he belts out "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" like his life depended on it and read like he was a natural.
They cast him immediately.
I'm blown away by my rough and tumble little boy who got all spiffed up (without me yelling at him to do it) and composed himself and just did it.
I'm a huge chicken when it comes to this stuff so I'm just so excited for him. I know it's only local theatre, but it was just cool. I'm proud of him.

Sounds great! I have such an adorable picture in my mind of your son getting himself all nice for the audition and putting his soul into it It's nice to know that some kids are still motivated like that. I'm sure he'll have a great time.
Just make sure you remember
Just make sure you remember all us Steptalkers if you become a famous Hollywood mama of the next Ryan Reynolds or Justin Bieber (I didn't specifically want to use Justin, but he was the most famous solo singer I could come up with at the moment lol). Sounds like he will be a star! Hopefully he will continue his interest in it Too cute!
