Mother's Day...
First of all....Happy Mother's Day to all my friends here. I think being a mother can be a thankless job.... but being a stepmother is the MOST thankless job.
I'm reading all the lovely stories about cards that some of you received on Mother's Day and I wanted to share mine as well (and hope some more stories could follow)...
From BS12, I got a paper airplane that stated that I was as great as a "fly-by".
From BS8, I got a hand made card that on the inside read: "Mom, you are pretty as a rose and I like it when you make lasagna..."
From SD11, SD9, and SD5 another handmade card with a penguin drawn on the front and on the inside read, "Thank you for all that you do for us..."
Happy Mother's Day to all of you and I hope one day we can all feel appreciated for those sacrifices that we've made that are truly not required of us.....

Happy belated Mother's Day to all of the awesome women here!
I actually had a nice Mother's Day. I slept in late, and Bd woke me up with a mountain of pancakes, tea in my favorite cup and a flower from our yard in vase. We ate pancakes in bed together. It was wonderful. I told her that she made my day. When Ss came home from his friends house (he spent the night) he came in and gave me a great big hug and a kiss and said Happy Mother's Day. Dh got me a very pretty basket with different plants in it and a card that made me misty eyed. We also bbq'd. It was great.
Sd said nothing about Mother's Day whatsoever. I expected as much. But it didn't bother me at all. I had a super day.
Maybe someday Sd will realize that I am not the enemy but then maybe she won't.
Anyway, I hope that all of you awesome ladies had a super day yesterday! You all desevre it!!
