I used to love the sound of my boys(BS 25 &23) laughing together. In fact, I still do when we get together.

The sound of the skids giggling these days is making me cringe. Ss11 loves to be the center of attention so he has this very loud, forced laugh that is obviously forced so he can be the loudest skid. Ss13, screw him, he doesnt even deserve to laugh or be happy. He recently lied about me, I called him out, he played dumb and I have confined myself to my room for the duration of the quarantine.  He actually did me a favor, now I can isolate in my room without being the bad guy.

I just heard the skids start giggling and acting stupid. I turned up the tv and closed the door. I feel bad because maybe DH wants to hear his kids' laughter. Another reason step families are unnatural. I would never let anyone take the joy out of me being a single mother. I was single for 15 years and was a mom. I am stealing precious moments from DH that he can never get back because I HATE HIS CHILDREN. Yes, he raised entitled brats and that is on him but he should be able to enjoy his kids.i can tell you if that was my kids laughter, I would have muted the tv to hear it.
