Update

I had an ischemic stroke on 1/16.

Today is the first day I've really felt like I am kinda back to normal. I did a load of laundry & unloading the dishwasher & loaded it & wiped the table down.

Who would think you would miss that stuff?

No change in hearing in left ear & the rest is the same. I'm able to control my bladder most all of the time. I seem to have one accident every 3-5 days. Not bad.

My mother in law is still acting like a crazy person. She went ape shit texting me. I sent her a reply:

"Message 1433.54-65: the recipient of message you are attempting to deliver has blocked you from electronic messages. Please reach this cellular provider through a phone call, if you need to reach them."

In other words. You no longer have access to screw with me constantly you crazy person. Ugh. Btw: if she calls, I have no intentions of answering that either. I'm not being drug into crazy town.

Smile Glad to hear you are continuing to improve - keep up the positive attitude!!

Has the MIL stopped texting?

Gotta ask - was she texting before the stroke or has she had some kind of crazy reaction to you being unwell?

Oh well, there's nowt as queer as folk as they say back home.

Stay strong.

Asking to help. Then I tell her what she can do. Then she says no she won't do it bc I will rise to the occasion. Then tells me stuff like she needs help. She's been depressed. Etc. She just is nuts. Last thing was texted me some off the wall text out of no where at 345am. My response was "Are you upset with me?" She sends back she doesn't have time to get into the semantics of it. So 2 days later when she wanted to go off on me again. I sent that fake text. Haha. No more texting.

what is it with some people just wanting to make everything about them!

You would think by her age she has realised she is not in fact the centre of the universe and would be sympathetic to the fact that you have some serious stuff to deal with at the moment.

Well, honey - I would love to help you and would offer - no strings attached - if I was closer. I am having one of those days today - where people and the things they do just astonish me.

I hope you have family and real friends close that are there for you.

Good news! I had emergency gall bladder surgery 2 weeks ago and last Weds had a horrendous vertigo attack. Today is the first day in a long time I have felt normal. That feeling of "I can do it!" is very uplifting.

Don't overdo it though. One day at a time.

Yeah I took a 2 1/2 hr nap after that. I also had bathed & blow dryer my hair & did my make up. & laundry is down stairs. So it's not simple. It use to be. But it isn't now.

I hope you get to feeling better also.
