You are here

Hey y'all-I'm alive and well (maybe a little insane)

bewitched's picture

I miss you guys-but I've been so tied up with A & P I've not had a spare moment...I mean, I am studying like 5 hours every day! I need all your good vibes-this stuff is tough. If I'd studied like this when I was in school, I would've aced everything!

Anyway, 1st module went really well. Got an A on my exam!. Hold the cheers tho-module 2 is on chemistry which I did not take in H.S.-for a reason. Really tough for me.

Plus, my son is now on temporary lay-off so he's here-and then his gf showed up...and H was here for four days, Thurs. thru Monday.

Surprise-H has actually been pretty decent. 'Course 3 of the 4 days off he had, he spent the entire afternoon gambeling with his buds at the country club. Oh well, good for me, as it meant he left me alone.

I think he's really booking on me passing this course...thinks it's his way (me going to school) of getting out of the job he has that he now hates. He now hates it because his boss...guess what? treats him exactly the way he treats me! :jawdrop:

All is pretty quiet on the SD17 front, too. Since she PO'd H, I've not heard or seen much of her. Good for me. Just like the gambeling :). Hope she continues to "slip up" and show H her true self. Life is so much better when he's NOT pandering to her every whim.

Hope everythings ok with each and every one of you. Once I get into the swing of this, I'll be back (threat).

On a positive note-my sons girlfriend is now an OTA (occupational therapy assistant). And she had to take this course - A & P-as a prereq also. And according to my son, she was insane when she was taking it. And she's only 26. So there's hope. But these hours are killing me-5 online credit hours are going to take me 500 real time hours!

but you can do it. It requires a lot of study time. Stick with it, its just for a semester then on to something else.

Good Luck Wink

Gotta admit, I was pretty "worried"...especially since he wanted you to go out of town with him the day classes started.

I thought FOR SURE he did SOMETHING....glad to know all is well.

I hate chemistry, too...bleeech!

I know it's hard. It's overwhelming. Been there done that. I remember about half way through having some "what was I thinking moments," Then...

Remember when I figured out I had exactly 3 semesters left. THREE little bitty semesters down from, oh I dunno TWELVE or more.

I was in shock. Then decided I was underachieving and married DH over spring break my next to last semester, and got pregnant with BD the next month. Last semester was sort of a let down being 9 months pregnant at graduation.

But I still sit here today BW and think

I DID IT. I got rid of the man who told me I couldn't.

AND I DID IT.

It wasn't easy, it was exhausting, it costs some money. But as Vic said the result, the accomplishment, the way my family still expresses how proud they are of me and my kids will forever know it's possible to follow through and finish college...

all PRICELESS.

Bee,

It is great to hear from you!

I went back to school to finish my BS in my late 20's, started my MBA in my mid 30's and finished in my late 30's.

Hang in there, we are all pulling for you.
