OT: Would you hire an attractive nanny?

My sister and I both have nannies. And both our nannies are young and very pretty. I never noticed how pretty my nanny was until other people around me started making comments. For instance, our yard guy is totally infatuated with her. (BTW, he's twice her age and doesn't speak any English). He always buys her lunch when he knows she's here. And our handyman, who's around her age is always asking me about her. One day when my grandmother was visiting she said your nanny is really pretty. I never really paid attention to her looks, I just cared about how she interacted with DD3.

BM's DH was murdered yesterday

DH called me from work and told me that he spoke with BM. He said her first name, so I knew something was up. Because he usually refers to her as SS's mother. And he had some bad news. I thought that maybe SS was in the hospital again. I wasn't prepared for what he told me. He told me that BM's DH was MURDERED. I was like what???? Murdered?? WTH happened. He said he didn't know that BM called him as she was hysterical and she told him that her DH was dead.

There I said it. And it's the truth. Sad I came to this realization yesterday when I was at the mall. There was a woman there shopping who I presume to be a SAHM like myself (she had her kid with her and it was 10am). She was wearing yoga pants, Sketchers, and a hoodie, her hair was in a bun and she wasn't wearing any makeup.

OT: A question about Preschool

DD3 started preschool last week Sad She is attending a private school. Today I have a conference with her foreign language teacher. And that got me to thinking about her preschool curriculum.

Here's her curriculum. They have a number and letter of the week. They have a homework packet that is 4 pages, she has to work on counting, writing her name and writing the upper case and lower case letter of the week.

DH wants me to take the Plan B Pill

I am really hurt and upset right now. DH and I are celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary. We are celebrating in one of my favorite cities. So last night we really *celebrated* and got carried away and didn't use any birth control. This morning DH wakes up and says "Don't they have a pill you can take?" I ask him what is he talking about? He says, "You know, don't they have a 72 hour pill you can take so you don't get pregnant? I don't want any more kids right now."' W....T....F...... I felt like he punched me in the stomach.
