FDH and I talked a little bit about it yesterday and this morning when he got home from work and I think the "crisis" has been successfully averted.

FDH and I discussed potential locations yesterday, and, today, when he got home from work this morning, I asked him what SD would be doing when we do our photos.

I'll back up a little bit. We decided to do our shots at the local zoo since that is where he proposed to me and because we have a family membership and a couple extra tickets to bring people with us, so our friend won't have to pay to get in. We originally looked into the zoo as a potential venue, but, it was beyond our price range and FDH thinks this is a great way to incorporate it into the wedding.

So, location was set - no driving around aimlessly to find spots, and this morning, I asked "FDH, now that we've decided where we're going to do our shots, what will SD be doing? It's going to be the first weekend she's here, so I'm just wondering what you think?" After all, when I got our membership, I made sure SD was included in it in case she pulled her head out of GUBM's ass and ever visited again, so it's not like she couldn't get in to the zoo with us.

Apparently, having decided on the zoo, FDH now thinks it's best to have SD hang back at home (YES!!!!) because he doesn't want to have to contend with SD and the shoot. He said that the more he thought about it, the less appropriate he thought it would be to have her in the shots (YESSSSSSSSSSS!!!) or at the shoot (YES YES YES!). He thinks that it would probably be a bit of a nightmare to try to get SD to comply with requests to back out of shots and to give us space when our friend wants to get a pic.

He thinks that now that we found a location that is so perfect for us that it really should just be all about us. He said "We'll have plenty of opportunities to get photos with her at the wedding, she doesn't need to be in these photos, too. And, since we have the membership, we can take her to the zoo whenever, she doesn't have to come on that day. She'll live."

Hmm, is FDH reading Stepmonster finally paying off???
